Slotted to debut in September 2017, Misadventures is a romantic series comprised of standalone novels, each written or co-written by authors selectively chosen by Waterhouse’s founder, #1 New York Times bestselling romance author Meredith Wild, based on works she’s read and loved.
The series concept was originally inspired by a casual co-writing project that Wild undertook with an author friend—a low-pressure, high-steam romance that they could pen between their other more heavily plot-driven novels. “As authors, we work incredibly hard on our stories, and the process can be an intense and often stressful undertaking,” Wild says. “With Misadventures, ‘keep it fun’ is the driving philosophy. Waterhouse is thrilled to announce some of the best names in romance contributing to the first wave of the Misadventures series. Among them will be New York Times bestseller Shayla Black, author of over fifty novels, including the Wicked Lovers series. “I have no doubt Waterhouse will bring the same passion and savvy to these books as they do to their other bestselling titles,” she says.
